Discover Woodlands

Discover Woodlands is a fun, informal and informational time that will give you a chance to meet other newer attenders as well as the pastoral staff and their wives.  You’ll also learn a bit more about our vision, values, beliefs and some next steps into Woodlands.

This is also a time to ask questions, and enjoy some great refreshments! These gatherings are held frequently throughout the year.  You can get information about Discover Woodlands by checking the box on the connection card or by calling the church office.  We’d love to have you attend!

Our next Discover Woodlands is on Sunday, June 3rd at 12:15 (after 2nd service).  There will be pizza lunch for the whole family and childcare is provided for those who register ahead of time.  If you'd like to attend the June Discover Woodlands, please contact Jane Whitford.  

Essentials - Your First Life Group experience! 

A whole new way to connect at Woodlands Church!

Essentials is a hybrid class that will give you a taste of both life and learning groups.

During this ten-week class you will receive an overview of the entire Bible, talk about and apply some essential practices related to your relationship with Christ, and gain a fuller understanding of the beliefs of Woodlands Church.

In addition, Essentials is designed to be your first LifeGroup experience. 

Each table has a host to facilitate discussion and foster connections between the group members.  The two curriculums used over the course of the ten weeks are: “Ten Keys for Unlocking the Bible” by Colin Smith, and “Friendship with God” by Don Cousins and Judson Poling.  We hope this class will help broaden your knowledge of God’s Word, deepen your relationship with Christ, and allow you to form strong bonds with others at Woodlands.  Time will also be taken each week to learn more about the values and Statement of Faith of Woodlands Church and the Evangelical Free Church of America. 

Whether you have been attending Woodlands for two weeks or two years, Essentials is a great opportunity to deepen your connection with others in the body of Christ.  Our current Essentials class has already begun and sign-ups are closed.  The next class will be begin in the Fall, starting date TBD.
