Children's Ministries
We have one reason we do what we do. We want to honor God by providing ministries and events that help children to know God in a more personal way while supporting families as they lead this charge of nurturing their family in faith. Woodlands Village, the name of our children’s ministries, is not here just to be a babysitting service, we want to organize what we do to point children to God and resource families to do the same.
In the Bible God instructs families to be aggressive in sharing their faith with their children (Deuteronomy 6) and we want to support and resource families to hit a home run in their efforts to express their faith with their children. Once, when Jesus was talking with some people, His disciples scolded some parents for wanting Jesus to bless their children. You can read about it in Matthew 19:13-15 and hear that Jesus challenged His disciples reminding them that He wanted the children near Him and that their simple faith was a model to the grown ups of the world of what faith should look like. The simple yet profound faith of a child is a beautiful thing and we believe that we have a part to play as His church to encourage and grow that faith through the ministries and relationships that we can offer.
Woodlands Church is one church family that meets in two separate locations. We have meeting places in Wisconsin Rapids and in Plover. Some of the ministries that we offer are hosted by only one location while others meet at both. The exact mix and style of ministries differ by location but we are working together to help children and families know God better.
